Research Interest

Tianfu’s main interests are to (1) develop new approaches to modeling multiphase non-isothermal fluid flow and geochemical transport in unsaturated and saturated porous medium and fractured rock systems; (2) to develop conceptual models integrating geologic, thermal, geochemical and hydrologic data; (3) to incorporate conceptual models into numerical modeling codes for the evaluation of coupled processes; (4) to apply reactive chemical transport modeling capabilities to different programmatic areas such Environmental Management Science Program, Geothermal program, and CO2 disposal in subsurface formations.
